Have you seen that big rubber ball in the gym available in many colors? That is called the exercise ball and it is the perfect tool to burn fats especially in the abdominal area. There are so many series of exercises that can be done using the ball in order to lose belly fat and develop abs. To know the different series and workout routines, read further.
The first workout routine that can be done using the ball is the exchange of the ball between hands and feet. This exercise is done by lying down on a flat surface with the ball in between the feet. Then, one has to pass the ball from the feet to ones hand and vice versa. Repetition of the action will tighten the abdominal muscle and strengthen it.
Another routine and is the most common is the ball crunches. This is done by lying while placing the ball on the lower back and balancing oneself while lying. Hand will be placed behind the hand and slowly, one will do the crunch but making sure that the ball underneath will not move. Balancing oneself on top of the ball will not only firm the muscles on the abdominal area but also the arms, the back, pelvis and legs.
Next routine is called the side rolls. One will have to lie down on a flat surface and brace the ball on the thigh using the heel of the feet. The ball should not touch the floor and so one has to brace it firmly between the heels and thing on bended knees. Slowly, the knees should be brought to one side to the other while making sure the ball doesn’t touch the floor.
Ball push-up is the next series to do. This is achieved by simply doing a normal push-up but your hands will not be laid on the floor but instead on the ball. One has to balance oneself by making sure the ball will not roll off while doing the push up.
One last routine is steadying yourself while you lie down with your feet on the ball. This is not just lying down and putting both legs on top of the ball. You have to lift your body up and steady yourself for a couple of minutes while you make sure the ball will not roll off while your feet are on top of it. This will not only strengthen the abdominal muscle but the leg and thigh muscles as well.
